Get Your Music Man Tickets Today

Tickets are now on sale for The Music Man! Our spring musical production is sure to be a hit that you won't want to miss. This memorable family favorite is about Harold Hill, a traveling con man who convinces the parents of River City to put their sons in a boys band and purchase the uniforms and instruments from him. He plans to run away with the money and leave the town without a band, but begins having doubts when he meets the local librarian.

Performances are at 1:00pm and 6:30pm on Friday, April 15 and Saturday, April 16. Friday the 15th is a teacher in-service day so students don't have school, making this a great day to see the show. Get your tickets here.

The Music Man is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International. (MTI.) All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.MTIShows.com

Board Letters of Intent Due Tuesday

If you are planning to run for the PCK Board, your letter of intent, a brief biography, and a photo of yourself must be sent to ddaniels@ckcs.net by next Tuesday, April 12. Elections are April 19. At this time, the board particularly needs members with legal and financial backgrounds, but all interested parents are encouraged to run.

PCK is governed by our board of directors. This is a policy making body that does not make administrative decisions. Seven parents sit on the board, and they are voted on by the PCK community to serve three-year terms. When a term ends, board members are eligible to run for a second term. Visit the Board page on our website to see the minutes from past meetings, review the board bylaws, and learn more about this important role in our school.

Got Milk?

Our students love having milk at lunch, but it must be ordered in advance through Wholesome Food Services. We no longer have it available for students to sign out when they get thirsty. You can access Wholesome Food Services here, or by using the button on the bottom of each page of our website.

Come Check The Lost And Found

Earlier this week, all lost and found items with names on them were returned to students. The photo shows what is left. Please stop by the school to see if any of the items belong to your family. There are lots of coats, sweatshirts, and water bottles, as well as many other items. You can help us return things to your students by making sure everything they bring to school is labeled with their first and last names. Labeling items with initials does not help us get them back to your students. Thanks for your help!

Graphic showing the next PTA meeting is on April 13 at 6:30pm in room 126. They will be planning Teacher Appreciation Week.

Don't Miss Next Week's PTA Meeting

Teacher Appreciation Week is in early May, so all of the planning for this exciting event will happen at next week’s meeting on Wednesday, April 13 at 6:30pm in room 126. We need volunteers to take a lead and help with daily activities to make the week-long event a success.

This is also the last meeting before the 2022-23 PTA Board is voted on in May. We encourage people to attend, learn more, and ask questions. The PTA needs dedicated parents who want to plan fun spirit activities for the summer and next school year. Come join in the fun!

Take A Night Off From Cooking

Next Thursday, April 14, we have a Spirit Night from 4:00 - 8:00pm at the Panera on Twenty Mile Road in Parker. You can print or show an electronic version of this flyer to the cashier, or use code PRFUND with online orders, so the school gets a portion of the proceeds. When you get a night off from dinner duty, your family gets a delicious meal, and the school gets money, we all win!

Spirit Team

If your daughter loves our Spirit Team (and who doesn't?) you can learn more about it at a parent/daughter meeting on Wednesday, April 20th from 4:00 - 4:30pm in Coach Gillen's classroom, room 148. Tryout information, fees, expectations, and other details will be covered in the meeting. Students currently in 5th, 6th, and 7th grade may try out. The tryouts are May 9th, 11th, and 13th from 3:30 - 4:30pm. The 13th is a teacher work day and students do not have class, but tryouts will still be held at 3:30pm that day.

Do You Need Volunteer Hours?

There are less than two months left to complete your volunteer hours for this school year! If you are looking for an easy way to get hours, consider donating to the Spring Gala. Every $25 you donate in products, cash, or gift cards counts for one hour. We have already received some great donations from families at PCK and we thank each and every one of you - we couldn't do it without you! If you have questions or would like to make a donation, please contact Laura Erhuy. All donations are due by next Wednesday, April 13. Here are just a few examples of things you can donate, but the options are endless!

-Gift cards for goods, services, restaurants, or your business

-Sporting event or concert tickets

-Golf packages or lessons

-Birthday parties

-Photography services

-Lift tickets or other Colorado adventures

The Foundation at PCK thanks everyone who bought tickets for the Gala and helped us sell out. You make this Gala and Auction happen each year with your kind donations, ticket purchases, and sponsorships. Thank you!

Sponsor Spotlight

Thank you to Janet Brunner with The Brunner Bunch at Keller Williams Action Realty for sponsoring the $500 wine toss for the Spring Gala & Auction. Janet not only sponsors the wine toss each year, but she has been a member of the Foundation for five years and is the chairperson for this fun event. A big thanks to the entire Brunner family for helping organize, store, move, and set up the activity. We truly appreciate all of your hard work and dedication to the Foundation and Parker Core Knowledge.

Janet says, "I love to sponsor the wine toss for our Spring Gala as it's a tradition for me each year. It's such a fun event and a wonderful way to help raise funds for our award-winning school. We have been at PCK for 11 years now with our youngest, Jack, in 4th grade. I've been a full-time Realtor for 21 years, a dedicated team leader in the top 5% of my company at Keller Williams, and I was recently voted 2022 5 Star Real Estate Agent for the 9th time. I've had the great pleasure of helping several PCK families buy and sell their homes, and if I can help you with your real estate needs please don't hesitate to contact me. $2,000 of my commission from a closed transaction with any PCK family will be donated in your family's name to our school as a thank you for your trust and business."

If you would like Janet Brunner to help with your real estate needs, call 303-589-5327 or email her at janet@thebrunnerbunch.comher at

We also say thank you to Luke Ross with Keller Mortgage for being a second $500 wine toss sponsor again this year. Luke is a third year member of the Foundation and assists Janet with the Gala planning. They make a great mortgage/real estate team as wine sponsors each year.

Luke says, "We are so excited and proud to be a sponsor for the wine toss at this year's Gala! This is our sixth year at PCK and we are honored to be a part of this school for the next 10 years with our youngest still in preschool. This is my third year on the Foundation, and  my wife and I are thrilled that we are able to attend the annual Gala once again. This is going to be a great event that raises money to replace our current playground, which is a much needed change. We look forward to seeing you all at the Gala!"

These two outstanding staff members are tireless in their pursuit of excellence at PCK, and are very deserving of this honor. Stephanie and Dawn, you make us #PCKproud!

Thank You

Thank you to Kelly Anderson for making her famous cookies for our staff last week. As soon as word goes out that "Kelly Anderson's cookies" are in the building, there is a rush to the staff lounge because everyone loves them. Thank you for spoiling us so well!
