Green Dress Down Day Tomorrow

In honor of Earth Day, students may dress down in green tomorrow (Friday). Please remember to follow our dress down day dress code.

Thank you to the Earth Day Committee for all of their hard work arranging a very special day for our students. We have local experts such as Master Gardeners from CSU, engineers working on water projects for the US Forest Service, and representatives from Parker Water and the Water Ambassadors coming to speak with our students. They will discuss water usage on the local level.

Election Results Are In

Thank you to everyone who cast a vote in this week's election for our two open board seats. Congratulations to Jessica Berry and Erik Glenn who will serve our school for the next three years.

We extend a true word of thanks to all of our candidates. It is wonderful to have a large selection of qualified candidates to choose from, and it shows the dedication of PCK parents to contribute to our community in this meaningful way. We appreciate your willingness to serve and hope you will run again in the future.

Please join us in wishing the best to outgoing board member John Faries, who has helped our school tremendously as our vice president. John’s financial knowledge and commitment to PCK have been invaluable, and he will be greatly missed on the board.

Once again, congratulations to Jessica Berry and Erik Glenn. We appreciate your service to our school.

Saying Goodbye Is Never Easy

Over ten years ago, PCK opened its preschool under the outstanding leadership of Kristi Resler. She built a program that is widely recognized for its excellence throughout the Parker community. PCK Preschool & Junior Kindergarten students enter kindergarten ready to excel at a high level, and their ongoing academic achievements make us PCKproud. Many of our K-8 students acknowledge the exceptional start they received in our preschool. We are sad to see Kristi leave PCK as she embarks on a fresh journey with the State of Colorado's new Department of Early Childhood. In this role, she will make a difference not only for our preschool students, but for children throughout the state. Thank you for your years of service and dedication to the students of PCK, Kristi. We wish you all the best!

Please join us in welcoming our new preschool director, Jessica Griffin, who comes to us from Creme De La Creme in Lone Tree where she served as the Executive Director. She brings twenty years of leadership experience in early childhood centers, along with the skills to meet the needs of our littlest learners, their parents, and our staff. We are glad to have you on board, Jessica - welcome to our community!

Place Your Bid - The Silent Auction Is Open

The Gala Is This Saturday

After a two-year hiatus due to COVID, The Foundation at PCK is excited for our Spring Gala and Auction this Saturday, April 23rd, starting promptly at 6:00pm. There will be valet parking and a cash bar, so if you are attending, please be sure to bring cash for tips and drinks. Help Us Build Our Playground By Bidding In The Silent Auction

The Spring Gala and Auction is The Foundation's biggest fundraiser of the entire year. Our primary goal this year is to raise the money needed to build a new playground for our kids. The current one is over 20 years old and needs significant attention. You can help make this happen by bidding in the silent auction. We have close to 200 items up for bid. Check out the teacher experiences, gift certificates for restaurants and fun activities, student-inspired spirit wear, tropical and mountain vacations, and so much more. Head over to PCKGala.com to register and take a look; you are sure to find something you love!

Thank You

One last big thank you to all of our wonderful Gala sponsors. Without you, we couldn't make this happen.

Hello, Sunshine

We finally had a warm, sunny day without wind on Monday. Our 4th graders took advantage of the beautiful day to do their DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) time outside.

Butter Makes It Better

Mrs. Dow-Peterson's kindergarten class learned how cream turns into butter in the science lab last week. They then danced to "The Chicken Dance" while shaking bags of cream until they each had a thick and delicious treat to take home.
