PCKproud Day Tomorrow
Since it is the first Friday of the month, tomorrow is a PCKproud Day. Students may wear any PCK shirt (spirit wear, Fund Run, theater, character, Battle of the Books, etc.) with uniform bottoms or blue jeans. No other bottoms are allowed.
New Year, New PCK Photo Sharing Site
Our photo sharing site has moved from OneDrive to TreeRing. TreeRing is the company that prints our yearbook, so using their photo sharing site makes compiling content for our yearbook easier.
To begin uploading photos:
Go to www.treering.com. You can also download the TreeRing app from the app store.
Login to the website/app with your email and password. Note: This is the site where you purchase your yearbooks, so if you have already ordered one you should have an account. If you don’t have an account, click the Sign Up button. To create an account, enter our school’s passcode: 1015343699083637. You will then enter your family’s information.
On the main tab, you can purchase your yearbook. Below the purchase option you will see the "Share Your Photos" button. Click the button.
Click on Shared Photo Folders and select the folder that matches the content of the photos you are uploading. You can upload from your computer or mobile device.
For eighth graders, use this process to upload your student’s baby picture by clicking Add A Baby Photo (only eighth grade students will have this option).
If you need additional assistance, please feel free to contact our parent yearbook editor, Sarah Gustashaw at gustashaw@comcast.net or call/text 972-670-8716.
The Annual Giving Campaign Is Coming To An End
The Foundation's Annual Giving Campaign ends next Friday. Our goal this year was to raise $100,000 to help with our playground project; so far we have raised $29,324. We have a long way to go to reach our goal, so please consider helping out. Every penny we earn will go towards giving our children a better place to relax, have fun, and blow off steam. The playground is 20 years old and needs a serious facelift.

Thank You, PTA
Our staff enjoyed a delicious breakfast at our in-service on Monday thanks to the generosity of our PTA, with special thanks going to Karen Langton, Corey Yanzito, and Bre Lewis who set up breakfast burritos from Twisters, assorted pastries, and Starbucks coffee. Thank you, PTA! We truly appreciate all you do for us!
Help Us Get Creative With Bright Yarn
Our art department needs donations of brightly colored yarn (neutral colors are not needed at this time). If you have any extra yarn you can donate, please send it to the art room with your student. Thank you!
Making The Holidays Warm For Sick Kids
Our 4th graders used their holiday party time to make blankets for kids at Children's Hospital. They worked together to make around 35 blankets. We love your generosity, 4th grade! #PCKproud
Connecting With Character
This month we are focusing on the character trait of respect: treating others with honor and dignity. When showing respect, I will...
Value others.
Respect differences.
Use good manners.
Not bully or harass others.
Treat people the way they want to be treated.
Watch next week's Thursday Folder for the table tent with discussion questions for your family.
We Love Our Volunteers
A huge thank you goes out to our top three volunteers for the second trimester:
Asha Rani - 54.5 hours
Briann Lewis - 33 hours
Jennifer Smith - 32 hours
We truly appreciate all of the time, effort, and energy you've dedicated to the school. Please stop by the front desk for a gift of appreciation.
Our Chromebook Fund Is Growing Thanks To The Winter Mart
Thank you to our PTA for organizing the Winter Mart, and to everyone who shopped. The PTA is donating $1,013.71 in proceeds from the Winter Mart to PCK's Chromebook fund.
We Have Many Reasons To Be PCKproud
As part of our charter renewal process, Mr. Thompson made this video to highlight just a few of the things that make PCK unique. It was presented to the Douglas County School Board before winter break. We think you'll love seeing some of the amazing things happening at PCK!

Stand Up For Safety
Thank you to Craig Neuman for being our Safety Dad this week. Our students love seeing dads here keeping our perimeter secure, helping with lunch and recess, and assisting with other activities as needed. Click here to learn more about being a Safety Dad or to sign up.
Thank You
Thank you to the Pettinato family for donating a box of hand sanitizer to the school. We sure do use a lot of it around here, so we really appreciate this donation. Thank you!
