Thank You To Everyone Who Made Our Veteran’s Day Event So Special
Thank you to everyone who brought food, juice, and paper goods for our Veteran’s Day breakfast last Friday. A huge THANK YOU goes to Dao Duong and the Dody family for their help with set up, greeting our guests, and cleaning up. The Boy Scouts who performed the flag ceremony did an amazing job, and we are thankful for them and for their leader, Jodi McCarthy. Thanks to the middle school band for performing, and to Mrs. Myers and Mrs. Waltz for all of their hard work. Blaise Singer put up the beautiful boards featuring the posters students made to introduce their friends and family members who served in the military, and thank you to Karen Langton for taking pictures of the event. To Tracy Keil we offer a very special thank you for arranging our wonderful speaker and the military vehicles that visited our school last Friday.
The PCK Annual Giving Campaign Is Underway
The Foundation at PCK does an amazing job raising money for our school. We are grateful for the hard work our Foundation members put into making sure our students and staff have the “extras” they need for an exemplary school experience. Please click here to see a letter from the Foundation on this year’s Annual Giving Campaign.
Let Go Of Unneeded Worry
The next class in our Parent Education Series is Things Parents Worry About (But Don’t Need To) presented by PCK Character Coach, Dianne Daniels on Thursday, November 15 at 6:30pm. Learn why it is okay when kids cry, lose, miss out on things, or don’t master certain skills, and how you can use these situations to create powerful learning opportunities that lead to a more peaceful home life. Once you free yourself from worrying about those things, you will have more energy to focus on the four traits you should be giving extra attention. Find out what they are in this engaging class for parents with children of all ages. Please RSVP to email@example.com.
Help Us Take Care of Those In Need
Friday is the last day to donate to Coats For Colorado. New and gently used coats can be dropped off in the donation boxes at both entrances to the school. There is a high need for children’s sizes, as well as adult XL.
Our NJHS students have partnered with Be About Bliss to collect food for students in need. Get all the details and find out what food item your child’s grade level is collecting here. All donations need to be in by November 20.
Thank you for your generous support of these two worthy causes.
