Meet Our Teachers
Ms. Beerbower
My name is Ms. Emily Beerbower, and I am excited to be joining the PCK community this year. As a passionate art educator and arts integration specialist, my goal is to connect all subject areas with visual arts to create enriching learning experiences that have a lasting impact. I believe this approach not only fosters academic success but also prepares students for a variety of future opportunities.
Originally from St. Louis, MO, I have always had a love for exploration and diverse experiences. After completing my studies at Appalachian State University in North Carolina, I moved to the Rocky Mountains, where I spent eight years teaching at a Jefferson County charter school. In 2020, I completed an Arts Integration Specialization from the Institute for Arts Integration and STEAM. With this training and my passion for arts integration, I am dedicated to identifying the connections between visual arts and core subjects, which helps engage students and supports deeper learning both in the art room and in their regular classrooms.
Outside of the classroom, I am an avid outdoor enthusiast, enjoying activities such as hiking, camping, snowboarding, kayaking, and paddleboarding. I also cherish spending quality time with my dogs and partner, traveling, and creating art. During the winter months, I indulge in my love for cooking, baking, and reading. I would be thrilled to hear any recommendations for recipes or books!
