The following is a tentative homework schedule for the week:
LANGUAGE ARTS:
7th Grade:
This week we will start our speeches unit and will focus on two speeches by Winston Churchill. We will also work on Chapter 19: Pronouns.
Monday: Start non-fiction, essay, and speeches unit. Vocabulary for two upcoming speeches. Review A, page 433 - subordinate clauses.
Tuesday: Review Winston Churchill; work on vocabulary. Read "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" May 13, 1940. Chapter 15 review, page 435-437. Test on chapter 15 on Wednesday.
Wednesday: Read "Their Finest Hour"
Thursday: Complete reading and discussion of Churchill's "Their Finest Hour". Begin Chapter 19 in grammar: Using Pronouns Correctly, pages 511-512. Quiz on Friday on vocabulary from Churchill's two speeches.
Friday: Chapter 19 - nominative case, pages 513-516, workbook page 194
