Necklace". Students will have a spelling test (column #3) and a
literary elements and story test on "The Necklace" on Friday
Friday - Students will be taking a test on
"The Necklace" No homework for Monday!

Grade
Tuesday - Read assigned portion of "The
Birthmark" by Hawthorne. This should be about half the piece.
We will start reading in class, but students might have to finish the first
half for homework. Take good notes! Students have a vocabulary test
on Wednesday. Words were given out last Friday.
Wednesday - Complete "The
Birthmark" Journal entry - What makes this piece gothic?
Thursday - Friday - Students will be taking
their fall BOE (Body of Evidence). After they complete their BOE they
will have assigned reading for literature circles from Frankenstein. If they do not finish their reading
in class they will need to complete it for homework.
