The 2005-2006 school year was an exciting year at PCKCS. We started the year by celebrating some outstanding school-wide CSAP results. All grades, 3rd - 8th, placed in the top three spots in at least one subject; many grades placed in top spots in all three subjects - reading, writing and math. We are so proud of our students and staff!
As the year progressed, we all worked very hard, and we had a lot of fun along the way, too. From Castle Day and Grandparents' Day to our annual Spring Dinner Theatre, the students enjoyed many 'hands-on' experiences as they learned about different people, places, cultures and customs. The learning process is always exciting and engaging around here - students put on plays, made presentations, participated in Spelling and Geography Bees and completed complex science projects. They also worked hard to demonstrate Core Character Virtues, assisted victims of Hurricane Katrina by creating care packages, and raised funds for our adopted school in Cambodia. Learning is an ongoing process that happens both inside and outside the classroom!
It is always with pride that we look upon the students, staff and families here at PCKCS and say, "We're a part of that team!" Thank you to all - our students, parents and staff for all that you did to make the 2005-2006 school year such a success.
