Approved 17/18 Calendar
If the construction is delayed on the new building, the following calendar will be adopted Late Start due to Construction 17/18 Calendar (summer notification.)

The ISTE Standards task students in the upper grades to explore emerging technologies. As part of gaining this skill, we asked students to investigate new technologies introduced this year at the Consumer Electronics Show.
The Consumer Electronics Show is the platform for which Tech Companies debut what their latest technological advancements are. This year, it was dominated by the automobile industry – “smart” cars were the talk of the event.
Below is a link to a TED talk around creating more efficiency in the way we move via transportation in our ever-changing world. Interestingly enough, based on the premise of how the human body efficiently transports blood and blood cells. A fun watch if you have a couple of minutes. Feel free to investigate this further over the dinner table with your children.

In the 1/5/17 PCK Newsletter we mentioned that Victoria Holck had been selected to the State All Star Swim Team. She competed in the All Stars meet last weekend and did VERY well. Victoria took gold in the girls 10 & Under 100 backstroke, picking up an 11/12 age group state time, even though she’s only 10! She also received gold in the 200 Medley Relay and silver in the girls 10 & Under 50 Backstroke!
Well done Victoria!!
