From the Director

The PCK SAC is beginning a series of monthly mini-surveys aimed at gathering data about particular topics of interest.  Over the next seven months, the SAC will send one mini survey per month to all PCK parents, with the hope that you will take just a few minutes to give us your feedback.  Some topics may be of more interest to you, but all are important to us.  Each monthly survey will be very short — 5-6 short answer questions.  Towards the end of the school year, (April), the SAC will send out a slightly different, longer survey with more open-ended questions designed to solicit your input about the entire school year.  For now, we will stick to single topics and short answer feedback.

This month, October, our mini-survey topic is Character. I hope you are seeing strong character being exhibited everywhere! The SAC is interested in knowing how visible and effective our internal efforts to promote, teach, and recognize good character are…from the parents’ perspective.  I hope you will take just a few minutes to provide us with some quick feedback via the Survey Monkey link below.

Thanks, in advance, for partnering with us to build strong students of character!

Info Meeting – Thursday, Oct 27th
5:00 – 6:30 p.m.

1st – 4th Grades (Parents)

We are almost halfway through the first semester of the year, and it is time to check in with parents about our new GoMath program.  We have heard various comments about the new program from, ‘We love it’ to ‘It’s so different’ or ‘It takes so long for the kids to do their homework.’  We are prepared to hear parent comments about the new program, and to answer questions about how best to help your child with math at home.

Please consider joining us for this interactive session on Thursday, October 27th from 5-6:30 p.m. here at school.  Our Math Department Head, Mrs. Bender, along with one math teacher from each grade that uses the new math program, will be on hand to answer parent questions and share about their experiences with the students in class.

In order to ensure we select the appropriately sized space for our meeting, please RSVP with Mrs. Randazzo and be sure to indicate your child’s grade level.  We hope to see you on the 27th.
